Job summary

SMS DATA PRODUCTS GROUP, INC is seeking a Cyber Defense Operator to support AFCERT mission with near real-time security monitoring and intrusion analysis. The role requires maintaining MR status and working on rotating 24x7 schedules across the AFNET.

Responsibilities include reviewing IDS/IPS alerts, host security monitoring, and documenting incidents in CMS. Requires active TS/SCI clearance and DoD experience.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in cyber defense operations within a DoD or IC environment.
• Active TS/SCI clearance required.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of Cyber Kill Chain, MITRE ATT&CK, and the NIST 800 series.

Responsibilities

• Monitor near real-time network security across networks and systems.
• Review IDS/IPS alerts per OI and checklists.
• Conduct host security monitoring and event analysis.
• Enter data and generate MISREPS for knowledge transfer.
