Job summary

Ideal Tridon Group in Boyertown, PA seeks a Cutoff/Press Setup/Operator for the 3rd shift to set up and run cutoff machines cutting steel, brass, aluminum and stainless steel pipe to exact lengths.

You will read part prints, use calipers, operate cranes, change blades, maintain safety and cleanliness, and document production daily in a busy manufacturing environment. The role requires attention to quality and teamwork with adherence to safety rules.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication, active listening and teamwork.
• Troubleshoot issues efficiently and seek help when needed.
• Proficient computer skills and ability to learn new software.
• Comfortable in a busy open-floor manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate 1–5 hand operated or automated cutoff machines to cut steel, brass, aluminum, and stainless steel pipe to specified lengths.
• Use overhead crane to bring stock to machines and load magazines on automatic machines.
• Visually inspect material for defects before cutting and measure with calipers or micrometers.
• Adjust length stops, speeds, and feeds; change blades and related components as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety, follow PPE rules, and complete shop tickets daily.
• Report issues to the Production Control/Plant Manager and participate in ongoing safety practices.
