Job summary

Ball State University is seeking a Custodian Relief and Project staff member for third shift on campus. You will perform cleaning, maintenance, and related custodial tasks across university facilities.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Must be able to read and follow policies and procedures for safety, hazardous materials information, and university procedures.
• Must have at least one year of work experience (full time or part time).
• Must be 18 years or older.

Responsibilities

• Perform custodial work for cleaning and maintenance of facilities.
• Clean and service restrooms including fixtures and supplies.
• Dust, vacuum, polish furniture and surfaces; change lighting as required.
• Collect and dispose of trash, recycling materials and debris.
• Sweep outdoor areas and keep entrances clean.
• Maintain and restock storage areas and report repairs.
• Acquire knowledge of custodial chemicals and safety procedures.
