Job summary

The City of Shoreview, MN is hiring a full-time Custodian to maintain the City Hall and Community Center facilities. You will help keep restrooms, floors, and common areas clean for over 500,000 annual visitors.

The role supports a seven-member team and participates in safety and policy adherence. Typical third shift hours are 8:30pm–5:00am, Friday through Tuesday, with duties including cleaning, room setup, and minor repairs.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1 year custodial experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs frequently and 50-100 lbs occasionally; passes physical exam.

Responsibilities

• Maintain assigned areas including locker rooms, pool, fitness room, gym, running track, meeting rooms, offices, restrooms, hallways and other areas, cleaning and sanitizing surfaces and removing refuse.
• Operate custodial equipment.
• Replace light bulbs and perform minor repairs.
• Prepare room and equipment set-ups.
• Deliver quality customer service; communicate with supervisor and staff.
• Train and provide limited daily work direction to associates as needed.
