Job summary

SBM Management Services, LP and its affiliates is seeking a Custodian to maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all assigned areas. The role involves performing janitorial tasks, following daily schedules, operating cleaning equipment, and handling hazardous waste responsibilities when required.

Qualifications

• Education: No specific education requirement; 3-6 months training or experience preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: May be required to have a valid driver’s license; safety training and forklift certification may be required.
• Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Bilingual a plus; able to read instructions; strong verbal and written communication; knowledge of cleaning methods, equipment, and chemicals.

Responsibilities

• Perform janitorial duties
• Perform duties listed on the daily schedule
• Hazardous Waste: collecting, classifying, sorting, storing, shipping/receiving, labeling, cleaning, recycling, packaging
• Operate motorized cleaning equipment
• Maintain daily upkeep of assigned area
• Report incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisor
• Follow safety rules, policies, and procedures
• Team-based work with others
• Perform repetitive tasks
• Maintain clean work area
• Follow all protocols and company policies
• Take direction from supervision
• Interact professionally with lead, supervisor, coworkers, managers, and customers
• Fill in during staff shortages
• Support shift lead on punch-list items
• Use proper PPE
• Present professional appearance
• Understand customer service and reporting systems
• Understand environment reporting systems
