Job summary

Babson College in Massachusetts seeks a Custodian to maintain cleanliness and supply restocking across campus buildings. The role is Monday–Friday, 10:00pm–6:30am.

You will sweep, mop, vacuum, sanitize restrooms, handle waste, and support events, with flexibility to assist during winter snow removal and other duties as assigned.

This is a non-exempt, hourly position with probationary rate of $24.24 and post-probationary rate of $28.72, with paid sick leave as required.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of cleaning experience.
• Hepatitis B vaccination and OSHA training per regulations.
• Ability to function in a team/community environment.
• Knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, and equipment.
• Flexible and willing to work alone or in teams across shifts.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine cleaning, servicing, and restocking in assigned building.
• Sweeps, mops, vacuums, cleans rest rooms, washes windows and walls, and other duties.
• Removes trash, sanitizes, and relines waste containers.
• Polishes brass, stainless steel, furniture without disturbing belongings.
• Follows recycling procedures and reports damages; changes bulbs.
• Cleans and supports events; shovels snow and assists with snow removal.
• Follows sign-in procedures and safety methods as instructed.
• Uses chemicals per SDS to prevent hazards.
