Job summary

Madison College in Madison, WI, seeks a Custodian for the Truax Campus to join our Facilities – Custodial Services team. The role emphasizes hands-on cleaning, safety, and independent work during the 6:00pm–2:00am shift, Monday through Friday, with a 40-hour week and full-time status.

You will dust, sweep, mop, sanitize restrooms, manage supplies, and support recycling programs while aligning with our sustainability goals.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment and products.
• Knowledge of safety procedures related to custodial tasks.
• Ability to operate hand tools, small power tools, and custodial equipment.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently while prioritizing tasks.
• Ability to follow safety protocols and maintain a sanitary environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintains cleanliness of campus facilities by dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, sanitizing restrooms, and emptying waste receptacles.
• Manages custodial supply inventory by monitoring stock levels and restocking supplies.
• Handles recycling collection by sorting and disposing of recyclable materials.
• Performs other related duties to support the efficient operation of the division.
