Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a CT Technologist to perform CT scans for all ages in inpatient and outpatient settings under the supervision of the Director of Diagnostic Imaging. You will assist Radiologists with interventional procedures and ensure patient safety and image QC for accurate interpretation.

The role requires ARRT CT certification, MA RTR licensure, and BLS within 30 days of hire, with ARRT CT certification goals within 12 months.

Qualifications

• AART certification in Radiology or NMTCB in Nuclear Medicine required.
• RTR licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts required.
• Must take the initial ARRT CT certification exam within 6 months of completing required competencies.
• Must pass the ARRT CT certification exam within 12 months.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT scan examinations appropriate to the age of the patient in inpatient and/or outpatient settings.
• Gathers pertinent clinical data and maintains accurate patient records.
• Completes records, paperwork and billings and submits promptly.
• Positions and transfers patients and assists physicians with interventional exams.
• Completes exams, performs QC on images and sends exams to PACS for review.
