Job summary

JLL in Richardson, TX is seeking a Critical Facilities Technician for the night shift to operate and maintain data center building systems while delivering high levels of on-site service to tenants, contractors and colleagues.

The role covers HVAC, electrical, plumbing and controls, with duties including preventive maintenance and documentation in the CMMS.

This full-time position requires teamwork, safety focus, occasional overtime, and a commitment to reliable facility operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Trade or Maintenance License preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete work assignments with limited supervision and efficiency.
• Operate, maintain, troubleshoot and repair building equipment and systems.
• Support HVAC, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and controls (electrical & pneumatic).
• Assist property maintenance, handle service requests and events setup.
• Assist Chief Engineer with JLL compliance program documentation.
• Maintain tenant relations with prompt, courteous responses.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance as directed.
• Assist contractors and ensure safety/compliance.
• Maintain locks, doors, controllers.
• Document fire life safety systems and inspections.
• Repair electrical breakers, switches, wiring, and lighting.
• Repair plumbing components such as toilets, valves, heaters and sump pumps.
• Provide general building maintenance and repairs.
• Prepare and paint interior and exterior surfaces.
• Perform handyman tasks; work solo or in a team.
• Occasional overtime and holiday work.

Education
