Job summary

Mercyhealth in Rockford, IL seeks a Transport Basic Provider EMT to deliver high-quality critical care and patient transport within the Emergency Department. You will document care and coordinate with hospital staff to ensure smooth transitions of care.

The position supports 3x12-hour night shifts with weekend rotation, focusing on safety, teamwork, and comprehensive patient care. Training and certification updates are provided as needed.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years' experience in a busy 911 system and ALS experience preferred.
• Previous Critical Care transport experience preferred.
• BLS/CPR required.

Responsibilities

• Provides pre-hospital basic life support care from initial contact until handoff to accepting facility.
• Maintains patient care documentation in TraumaSoft/Epic in a timely manner.
• Transports non-monitored patients to in-patient units.
