Job summary

Cooper University Health Care in Camden, NJ, is seeking a Clinical Care Technician to support daily patient care on the CDU/EXAU units. The role requires 0–2 years of experience, HS/GED and PCT training with active certification, plus BLS and CPCT‑A.

You will work full-time nights (7:00 PM–7:30 AM) with weekend/holiday rotation and contribute to safe, compassionate patient care under RN supervision. Responsibilities include assisting with activities of daily living, vitals, phlebotomy, EKGs, and

Qualifications

High School or GED required.
Successful completion of Patient Care Technician training and active PCT Certification required.
AHA Basic Life Support certification required.
CPCT‑A certification required.

Responsibilities

Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, feeding, hygiene, mobility, transport) and follow standard precautions.
Perform phlebotomy, vital signs, point-of-care testing, EKGs, and Foley catheter care as directed by RN.
Identify and communicate changes in patient status to RN.
Reinforce education for patients and families regarding care needs and safety.
Participate in patient satisfaction initiatives and assist in orienting new hires.
Complete annual competencies by the required due date.
Adhere to safety protocols to ensure a safe environment.
Maintain effective communication with patients and visitors.
