Job summary

Cooper University Health Care is seeking a Critical Care Tech for the Kelemen 8 unit. Under the direction of an RN, you will support patients’ daily living activities and assist with direct care within a high-acuity medical-surgical setting.

The role requires 0-2 years’ experience, High School/GED, completion of PCT training, and active PCT certification, plus BLS. You will collaborate in multidisciplinary rounds and uphold safety and quality standards every shift.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years’ experience required.
• High School/GED required.
• Successful completion of Patient Care Technician training and have an active Patient Care Technician Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patients’ activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, feeding, hygiene, mobility, transport) and follow standard precautions.
• Perform phlebotomy, vital signs, point of care testing, EKGs, catheter care as directed by RN and document.
• Identify and communicate changes in patient status to RN and respond appropriately, maintaining safe patient practices.
