Job summary

Cooper University Health Care in Camden, NJ is seeking a Critical Care Tech to assist with patients’ daily living activities under RN supervision. You will communicate with the healthcare team and families, help with mobility, and support the delivery of safe, high‑quality care on the Kelemen 8 unit.

Requirements include 0–2 years’ experience; High School/GED; completion of Patient Care Technician training with active PCT certification; BLS; CPT, CPCT-A or ACMA certification.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years’ experience required.
• High School/GED required.
• Active Patient Care Technician certification required.
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, feeding, hygiene, mobility, transport).
• Perform phlebotomy, vital signs, point of care testing, EKGs, Foley catheter care as directed by RN.
• Identify and communicate changes in patient status to RN and respond appropriately.
• Reinforce education for patients and families on care needs and safety.
• Participate in patient satisfaction and quality improvement activities.
