Job summary

Cooper University Health Care is seeking a Critical Care Tech for the Kelemen 8 unit, nights. The role supports RNs in activities of daily living and helps deliver care to patients across a busy medical‑surgical unit with telemetry.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, completion of Patient Care Technician training, and active PCT certification, plus BLS. Night shift includes weekends/holidays rotation, 36 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• High School/GED required.
• Successful completion of Patient Care Technician training and an active PCT Certification required.
• AHA Basic Life Support certification required.
• Certifications CPT, CPCT-A, ACMA accepted.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patients' activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, feeding, hygiene, mobility, transport).
• Follow standard precautions and document appropriately.
• Perform phlebotomy, vital signs, point-of-care testing, EKGs, and Foley catheter care as directed by RN.
• Identify and communicate changes in patient status to the RN and respond appropriately.
• Reinforce patient and family education regarding care needs and safety.
