Job summary

CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital - New Braunfels is a full-service facility offering 24/7 ICU coverage and a range of services. The competent nurse provides continuous, independent care, using the nursing process and addressing diverse patient needs in a demanding clinical setting.

Education includes a BSN preferred, with at least 1 year of related nursing experience. Required licenses include RN and BLS; multiple advanced certifications are listed for ongoing credential maintenance.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred.
1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred.
BLS required; RN license in state of employment or compact.
ACLS, PALS, TNCC, TCAR, NRP, AWHONN INTERMEDIATE FHM, STABLE certifications listed.

Responsibilities

Provides nursing care utilizing the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation.
Addresses psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patient and families.
Administers medications and treatments; monitors for side-effects and effectiveness.
Documents patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given.
Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients, family members and/or care givers.
