Job summary

Oakland Community Health Network (OCHN) is seeking a Crisis Registered Nurse (RN) for full-time night shifts in a fast-paced stabilization unit. The role involves trauma-informed, person-centered care, safety planning, and collaboration with behavioral health staff to support client stabilization and recovery.

The ideal candidate has a BSN, an unrestricted nursing license, 5+ years in crisis or human services, and experience with EHRs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) required; master's degree preferred but not required.
• Licensure: Unrestricted nursing license and BLS.
• Minimum of five years nursing experience in human services, crisis, or medical settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care and clinical support in the stabilization unit.
• Conduct initial and ongoing assessments to determine client needs and acuity.
• Administer medications; monitor therapeutic and adverse effects.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation per regulatory standards.
• Engage in de-escalation, crisis intervention, and safety planning.
• Collaborate with care team to ensure coordinated services.
• Support quality improvement and incident follow-up.
