Job summary

Oakland Community Health Network is seeking a Crisis RN to deliver trauma-informed, person-centered nursing care in a stabilization unit. You will work nights, with three 12.5-hour shifts weekly (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM), and play a key role in client safety, stabilization and recovery.

Ideal candidates hold a BSN with an unrestricted license, 5+ years in crisis or human services settings, and strong skills in de-escalation, teamwork, and documentation. BLS and EHR experience are needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) required; master's degree preferred.
• Unrestricted Nursing license.
• BLS certification.
• Minimum of five years nursing experience in human service, crisis or medical environment.
• Experience with electronic health records and customer service.
• Experience in crisis de-escalation and working with adults with serious mental illness.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care and clinical support in the stabilization unit.
• Perform initial and ongoing assessments to determine client needs.
• Administer medications and monitor effects.
• Participate in shift reports and communicate updates to the care team.
• Collaborate with staff to ensure coordinated care and documentation.
• Support de-escalation, crisis intervention, and client safety.
• Maintain confidentiality and regulatory compliance.
• Engage in orientation and training for new staff.
• Promote trauma-informed, person-centered care environment.
• Contribute to quality improvement activities and incident follow-up.
