Job summary

CorrHealth is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive nursing care to inmates in a correctional setting in Grand Junction, CO. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, and collaborate with the health care team while ensuring security procedures.

The role requires a valid RN license, current CPR/BLS, and willingness to work night shifts on a weekend rotation. Prior correctional healthcare experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma from a professional nursing program approved by the state
• Current and unrestricted RN license
• Correctional healthcare experience is preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Assess health problems of inmates and initiate medical records
• Respond to day-to-day medical issues and emergencies
• Administer prescribed treatments and medications
• Prepare equipment, records and rooms for examinations
• Maintain IV therapies and pharmacology practices
• Supervise and delegate tasks when needed
• Educate patients on diet, hygiene, and prevention of chronic diseases
