Job summary

Eaton is seeking a Production Associate - Material Handler (Bus Kitting/Puller) in Sumter, SC. You will support assembly teams by kitting and pulling copper/steel parts, locating missing items, and communicating with teammates to achieve safety, quality and productivity goals.

Responsibilities include pulling parts from various locations, reordering as needed, and ensuring parts meet specifications using calipers and tape measures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Experience operating forklifts and cranes, or willingness to learn.
• No relocation benefit; candidates must reside within 50 miles of Sumter facility.

Responsibilities

• Pull copper, steel or purchased parts for assembly from travel documents, blueprints, or instructions.
• Locate or reorder parts needed for specific jobs and determine root cause for missing parts.
• Communicate effectively with team members to meet safety, quality and production goals.
• Ensure quality by measuring finished parts with tape measures/calipers and identifying nonconforming parts.
• Cross train and stand in for other employees as needed.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and perform root-cause analysis.
