Job summary

MILK+ Nightclub & Bar in Downtown Salt Lake City is seeking a reliable Cook to join our late-night kitchen team. You will prepare menu items, maintain food quality and safety standards, and work in a fast-paced nightlife environment.

You’ll collaborate with kitchen staff and management, follow established recipes, keep stations clean, and help with opening/closing duties while staying organized during busy service hours.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years restaurant or kitchen experience required.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced nightlife environment.
• Willing to work evenings and late-night shifts.
• Valid Utah Food Handler Permit or ability to obtain one.
• Detail-oriented and committed to cleanliness.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items according to MILK+ recipes and standards.
• Complete food prep and maintain stocked stations before and during service.
• Maintain consistent food quality, portions, and presentation.
• Handle orders efficiently during busy late-night service.
• Follow proper food safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures.
• Keep workstations, equipment, and kitchen areas clean and organized.
• Properly store, label, rotate, and handle food products.
• Assist with opening, closing, and kitchen cleaning responsibilities.
• Communicate with other kitchen staff, bartenders, and management as needed.
• Help minimize food waste and notify management when products or supplies are running low.
