Job summary

Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center is seeking a night shift food service worker for the Burnet Campus. You will prepare and serve meals for third‑shift customers, ensure food safety, and rotate through deli and grill stations while providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced dining environment.

Responsibilities include cash handling, opening/closing duties, and restocking, with every other weekend and holiday rotation.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of work experience in a related job discipline.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedule: 8.5-hour shifts between 7pm-6:30am.
• Every other weekend and every other holiday rotation.
• Prepare and serve food items for third-shift customers.
• Provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced retail dining environment.
• Rotate between multiple workstations (deli and grill).
• Prepare food according to recipes, quality standards, and food safety guidelines.
• Operate and maintain food service equipment safely.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations & service areas.
• Stock food, beverages, supplies, and serving areas.
• Assist with opening, closing, and restocking responsibilities.
• Serve as a relief cashier and process cash/credit/mobile payments.
• Crosstrain as a backup cashier for coverage during breaks.
• Follow HACCP standards and safety guidelines.
• Support team operations and adapt to changing needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Demonstrated back-of-house food prep and cooking skills.
