Job summary

Pregis is seeking a Converting Machine Operator for the Arlington, TX facility. You will set up, operate and troubleshoot converting and finishing equipment to produce high-quality packaging products in a 2-2-3 rotating night schedule.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED and 3–5+ years of manufacturing experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and ability to read work instructions. Competitive pay and a $2,500 sign-on bonus are offered along with comprehensive benefits.

• Experience operating production equipment in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate converting and finishing equipment with minimal supervision.
• Review job specifications and verify materials before production begins.
• Monitor machine performance, product quality and production output; maintain productivity and quality standards.
• Operate and adjust ancillary equipment including gluers, label applicators, rotary cutters, splicers and register systems.
• Perform machine setup activities, changeovers, and line adjustments.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform minor mechanical repairs as needed.
• Accurately record production data, materials usage, waste and downtime.
• Support process improvements that increase efficiency and reduce waste.
• Train team members and support production goals as needed.
• Follow all safety procedures, SOPs and PPE requirements.
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment.
