Job summary

Pregis LLC in Arlington, TX, is hiring a Lead Converting Operator for the night shift (6:00 PM – 6:00 AM). You will safely operate converting and finishing equipment and lead production crews to meet quality, productivity, and safety standards.

Responsibilities include setting up equipment, monitoring print quality, troubleshooting, documenting data, and mentoring operators. Eligible candidates bring 5–7 years of related experience and a safety-focused mindset.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• 5-7 years of converting, printing, finishing, packaging, or related manufacturing experience
• Ability to operate converting and finishing equipment with minimal supervision
• Experience with machine setup, troubleshooting, and quality standards
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Commitment to safety and continuous improvement

Responsibilities

• Lead and support production team members during daily operations
• Review job tickets and verify materials prior to production
• Set up and operate converting and finishing equipment
• Monitor print quality, registration, tension controls, and machine performance
• Troubleshoot equipment and perform minor mechanical adjustments
• Accurately document production, waste, and downtime data
• Train and mentor operators as needed
• Identify process improvements that increase efficiency and reduce waste
• Ensure safe work practices and compliance with company policies
• Support smooth communication and shift handoffs

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• 5-7 years of converting, printing, finishing, packaging, or related manufacturing experience
• Ability to operate converting and finishing equipment with minimal supervision
• Experience with machine setup, troubleshooting, and quality standards
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous Lead Operator or Operator III experience
• Experience with gluing systems, labeling equipment, rotary cutters, Straub applicators, and related inline finishing equipment
