Job summary

Messer Construction Co. is seeking an experienced Superintendent for overnight operations in Charlotte, NC. The role focuses on supervising field operations, driving schedules, and maintaining a safe work environment with LEAN planning and quality control.

You will coordinate subs, manage costs, and support project stakeholders while mentoring Messer staff. Strong leadership and construction tech knowledge are required.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience operating as a commercial construction Superintendent or equivalent.
• Advanced education or certifications in construction management.
• Strong leadership, organization, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Working knowledge of construction technologies and systems (AutoDesk Build, Procore, Phoenix).
• Experience with Lean construction processes and project management systems.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate field operations to drive safe, quality construction.
• Develop and maintain site logistics and drive project schedules.
• Lead daily huddles and Day Plan meetings; monitor costs and interfaces with stakeholders.
• Support onboarding, mentoring, and performance management of staff.
