Job summary

Gilbane Building Company is seeking a Safety Professional to administer the safety program on a major construction site. The role sits primarily on-site with some travel for trainings and meetings, ensuring safety compliance by the project team and subcontractors.

You will promote a culture of safety, conduct inspections, provide OSHA-based training, and coordinate with insurance carriers and project teams to minimize hazards while supporting a diverse, inclusive workplace.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety Management or Engineering preferred.
• 1-5 years of construction safety experience.
• BCSP credential or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Promote Gilbane Cares safety culture on a single project with >250 workforce or high hazard.
• Ensure safety plans and contractor compliance with safety processes.
• Maintain safety documentation and conduct SafetyNet audits.
• Provide safety training on OSHA requirements.
• Investigate accidents/near misses and implement corrective actions.
