Job summary

HDR is hiring a Construction Project Representative for night shift to support the LAWA Landside Improvements project in the Los Angeles area. You will assist the Resident Engineer with construction inspection, contract administration, and coordination with contractors and stakeholders.

You will ensure plan/spec compliance, maintain thorough records, and support safety, QA, and environmental requirements on site.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field is required.
Minimum 5 years of progressive construction experience on multidisciplinary projects.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
Familiarity with MS Office and construction PM software.

Responsibilities

Coordinate and support LAWA Construction Inspection Division and City of LA with nightly field inspections.
Prepare and maintain checklists for inspections, material sampling and testing.
Maintain project records including plans, specs, daily reports, and punch lists.
Review submittals, RFIs, field directives, change orders, and costs.
Monitor contractor progress and participate in schedule reviews and look-ahead coordination.
Support safety, traffic control, and environmental compliance on site.
Coordinate with QA team for materials sampling and testing.
