Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking a Connectivity Engineer for a 12-month contract in New Albany, OH. The role leads field deployments for structured cabling and fiber infrastructure in a hyperscale data center setting, coordinating with construction, engineering, logistics, and installation teams.

The ideal candidate has data center experience, strong QA/QC, vendor management, and scheduling skills, with 6:00 PM–6:00 AM onsite coverage Wednesday–Sunday.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting data center or mission‑critical construction projects.
• Strong background in fiber optic infrastructure and structured cabling.
• Ability to perform QA/QC inspections and validate installations.
• Experience coordinating vendors, contractors, or installation teams.
• Excellent scheduling, planning, and cross‑functional communication.
• Onsite availability Wed–Sun, 6:00 PM–6:00 AM.

Responsibilities

• Track milestones, schedules, and deployment activities across active data center projects.
• Coordinate with partners, engineers, logistics, and stakeholders for execution.
• Support forecasting, material planning, and project reporting.
• Identify risks and resolve field conflicts and scope gaps.
• Oversee cabling installations and review wiring plans and BOMs.
• Validate installations against design standards and specs.
• Conduct field inspections and manage punch lists and QA checks.
• Maintain vendor relationships and turnover activities.
