Job summary

TEKsystems is hiring a Data Center Cable Technician / Low Voltage Installer in New Albany, OH. The role involves installing and routing data center cabling, terminating copper and fiber, and supporting critical technology infrastructure on a full-time basis with overtime opportunities.

Ideal candidates have experience in construction or related fields, strong reliability, and the ability to pass a background check and drug screen. Work is on-site with 10-hour shifts and Monday-Saturday schedule.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction, warehouse, manufacturing, low-voltage cabling, electrical work, or other labor-intensive environments.
• Strong attendance and reliability.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Ability to lift, carry, and move materials throughout the day.
• Comfortable working on active construction sites.
• Stable work history with demonstrated job tenure.
• Ability to pass a BGC and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Pull and install Cat5, Cat5e, Cat6, and fiber optic cabling.
• Route and secure cabling throughout data center environments.
• Rack, stack, and patch network equipment.
• Terminate, label, and test copper and fiber cabling.
• Install cable pathways, supports, and conduit.
• Read and follow blueprints, floor plans, and project drawings.
• Assist with telecommunications room buildouts.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized job site.
• Support the installation of critical technology infrastructure.
