Job summary

Andersen Corporation in Bayport, MN is seeking a dedicated process operator for polymer composite manufacturing support. You will assist in preventive maintenance, monitor equipment, contribute to cost reductions, and ensure safe, compliant operations on 12-hour shifts (6:00 PM–6:00 AM) with a rotating schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 10 years of experience in Plastics Fabrication.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to read and understand reports and cross-train on several operations.
• Strong communication, teamwork, problem solving and leadership skills.
• Dependability/punctuality.
• MUST be able to safely operate a PIT.

Responsibilities

• Participate in preventive maintenance, adjustments, repairs, and cleaning of equipment/work environment.
• Support modifications to improve operation and reduce downtime costs.
• Monitor pollution control equipment to ensure proper performance.
• Monitor components in the compounding process (loss in weight feeders, zone temp controllers, drive motors).
• Assist in dust and fume collection system maintenance and safety inspections.
• Complete weekly worksite inspections for safety and environmental compliance.
• Perform autonomous maintenance activities as prescribed in Data Stream.
• Survey utilities systems during operation and repairs; propose changes to improve operations.
• Collaborate with team mates and other crafts to complete projects.
• Repair water, vacuum, pneumatic loading, and compressed air equipment and lines.
• Record incidents of process upset and machine breakdown; test materials per control plan.
• Support wood fiber production function and maintain standard work documents.
