Job summary

Andersen Corporation is seeking a Manufacturing Assistant to support operation and maintenance of polymer composite production. You will participate in preventive maintenance, tune equipment, and assist with inventory control to reduce downtime costs.

The role requires a High school diploma or GED and extensive plastics fabrication experience, plus strong teamwork and reliability. Shift is 12 hours, with a rotating schedule; benefits and growth opportunities are highlighted by the company.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 10 years’ experience in Plastics Fabrication.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to read and understand reports; cross train on several operations.
• Strong communication, teamwork, problem solving and leadership skills.
• Dependability/punctuality.
• Must safely operate a PIT (Powered Industrial Truck) per safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preventive maintenance, adjustments, repairs, and cleaning of equipment/work environment.
• Support modifications and improvements to equipment to optimize operations.
• Monitor pollution control equipment to ensure proper performance.
• Monitor and maintain performance of compounding process components.
• Assist in site inspections to maintain safety and environmental compliance.
• Collaborate with team and other crafts to complete projects.
• Report incidents of process upsets and machine breakdowns.
• Assist in changeovers to meet product specifications.
