Job summary

Andersen Corporation in Bayport, MN is seeking a Composites Technician II to join the Bayport Composites team. This fast‑paced, team‑oriented role focuses on extrusion processes and tooling, troubleshooting production equipment, and providing hands‑on support and training for operators.

You will drive continuous improvement and safety projects, take corrective action on downtime, scrap or quality issues, and ensure documentation is properly completed, reviewed and approved as part of our

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Strong prioritization and multi-tasking capability.
• Problem-solving and process-improvement mindset.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot extrusion processes across the Bayport site.
• Manage, clean and care for extrusion tooling and ancillary equipment.
• Train and support operations team involved with extrusion processes.
• Assist with cross-functional work on continuous improvement and safety projects.
• Take corrective action on safety incidents, machine downtime, or quality incidents that deviate from customer requirements, with support from engineering team.
• Assist with Engineering / Operations projects as needed.
• Proactively identify potential downtime, scrap or reliability issues and communicate them up to an appropriate level.
• Continuously drive standardization of processes and methods.
• Understand all required department documentation standards and their impact on the extrusion and compounding process. Ensure that documentation is properly completed, reviewed, and approved.
