Job summary

IPEX Inc. in Asheville, NC seeks a Compound Blending Operator to oversee the blending and mixing of raw materials, ensuring safe, efficient production and meeting quality standards. Maintain plant equipment such as mixers, scales, and control systems while keeping the environment clean.

You will monitor recipes, operate the computer system, inspect and repair components, manage railcar unloading, and communicate material changes to supervision. Schedule: 9pm–9am, 36/48.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in chemical production or manufacturing preferred.
• Forklift operation ability is required.
• Basic math, reading and computer skills are necessary.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and run recipes including ingredients, heating/cooling times and temperatures.
• Monitor the compound computer system to maintain weights, heats and pressure.
• Inspect, repair and report needed repairs of filters and material lines/hoses.
• Manage railcar unloading: secure hoses, vent railcars and file related paperwork.
• Communicate silo or material changes to the production supervisor.
• Wear respirator properly when loading mic units and use closed grate for loading.
• Perform assigned housekeeping duties.
