Job summary

Randstad in Chambersburg, PA is urgently hiring expert CNC machine operators for the night shift (11:00 PM – 07:00 AM). You will set up CNC programs, load fixtures, align tooling, and manage tool offsets for production runs.

Responsibilities include monitoring feeds, speeds, and coolant flow, performing first-piece and in-process inspections with micrometers and calipers, and diagnosing basic alarms or errors to adjust offsets as needed. Randstad offers a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Experience setting up CNC machines and loading programs.
• Ability to select and install cutting tools and manage wear.
• Capable of monitoring feeds, speeds and coolant flow.
• Perform first-piece and in-process inspections with precision tools.

Responsibilities

• Program setup: accurately set up cnc machines by loading programs, installing and aligning fixtures, and setting tool offsets (length, diameter).
• Tooling management: select and install correct cutting tools into the cnc machine turret, managing wear and replacement.
• Operation and monitoring: operate the cnc machine, monitor feeds, speeds, and coolant flow.
• Quality control: perform inspections using micrometers, calipers, bore gauges to verify tolerances.
• Troubleshooting: diagnose basic alarms or errors and adjust offsets as needed.
