Job summary

Dover Precision Components is seeking a Night Shift CNC Operator at the Antigo, WI facility. The role requires operating CNC mills/lathes, reading blueprints, applying GD&T, and ensuring quality with precision gauges.

You will download programs from a DNC system, set up tooling, and monitor processes on a night shift. Ideal candidates have a machine tool operation certificate or equivalent training, plus experience with CNC programming and safety/lean practices.

Qualifications

• Experience operating CNC machinery (milling or lathes) in manufacturing.
• Familiarity with G-code and CAM for toolpath creation.
• Knowledge of blueprint readings and GD&T standards.
• Ability to use precision measuring instruments confidently.
• Commitment to safety and lean manufacturing practices.

Responsibilities

• Read, process sheets and blueprints to determine specs and setup requirements.
• Locate and download programs from a DNC storage system; interpret instructions.
• Select and install proper tooling; calculate feeds and speeds for steels.
• Read, edit and write CNC programs; understand tool capabilities.
• Perform quality inspections; use calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, CMMs.
• Maintain safety, participate in continuous improvement; document operations.
