Job summary

Oberg Industries is seeking a CNC Operator for our Chicago, IL facility. This full-time, on-site role involves night shifts and hands-on setup, operation, and inspection of high-precision components used in medical, aerospace, and advanced manufacturing sectors.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints, performing measurements, tool offsets, minor edits, and continuous improvement. A minimum of 2+ years in CNC machining and strong communication are required.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
• 2+ years of CNC machining experience.
• Able to read measuring tools and maintain tight tolerances (up to 4 decimals).

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machines to produce high-quality parts.
• Read and interpret blueprints and drawings.
• Perform inspections using micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
• Check finished parts to tight tolerances (up to 4 decimals).
• Make tool offsets and minor program edits to maintain quality and efficiency.
• Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot issues.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Train team members and contribute to continuous improvement.
