Qualifications

Minimum 1 year Machine Tool Operation certificate from college or technical school; or 3–6 months related experience/training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience operating CNC milling machines or CNC lathes in a manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of CNC programming languages (G-code) and CAM software for toolpath creation.
Familiarity with blueprint reading, GD&T standards, and mechanical drawings.

Responsibilities

Read, process sheets, blueprints, and sketches to determine dimensional specifications, setup, and operating requirements.
Locate and download programs from a DNC storage system; interpret work instructions.
Select and install proper tooling for operations performed; set up machines.
Calculate feeds and speeds for various steel grades and other materials.
Read, edit, and write CNC programs; understand tooling capabilities.
Perform quality inspections and use precision measuring instruments.
Maintain safety and lean manufacturing practices on the production floor.
