Job summary

United Gear & Assembly, Inc. in Hudson, WI, is seeking a CNC Machinist Mill Setup Operator. Join a premier manufacturer of gears and assemblies with ISO/TS16929:2009 certification.

You will read blueprints, set up mills, install tooling, monitor operations, inspect parts, and document measurements. Shift is Sunday through Thursday, 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., with a $4 shift differential; training on 1st shift available.

Qualifications

• Intermediate reading, writing, and arithmetic skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent or 2-year degree program.

Responsibilities

• Operates and/or sets up Mills and runs operations.
• Reads process sheets, blueprints, and sketches to determine machining.
• Mounts work piece and clamps it in fixtures.
• Installs preset tooling in posts, turrets or indexing heads.
• Monitors machining operation and verifies dimensions.
• Inspects first-run piece and checks subsequent pieces.
• Documents measurement results per Quality Documents.
• Performs SPC as required.
• Completes daily operator check sheets and maintenance.
