Job summary

Paycom - ATS in Alton, IL, is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist for a 3rd shift (11pm-7am). Starting at $21.97/hour with an additional $3/hour shift differential, this role focuses on precise NC machining and setup across lathes and mills.

You will interpret complex drawings, set tooling, and maintain tolerances through meticulous inspection, contributing to high-quality outputs in a safe, team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school education or GED and a broad knowledge of machining techniques.
• Four years of diversified manufacturing experience with NC machines.
• Ability to set up horizontal mills and multiplex lathes and offset tools.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, verify, and download programs; run NC machines to spec tolerances.
• Interpret drawings, select tooling, fixtures, and offsets for parts.
• Operate two systems (lathes) within the same machine and ensure quality.
• Perform final inspection and prepare parts for transport to packaging.
