Job summary

Betts Precision Inc. in Alsip, IL is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to operate and set up a range of machines including 3- and 5-axis mills, lathes, and multi-spindle setups. You will load programs, read blueprints with GD&T, adjust offsets, and inspect parts to ensure tight tolerances in a fast-paced medical-device environment.

Night shifts offer a 10% premium and opportunities for overtime, with comprehensive benefits and a family-owned culture.

Qualifications

• CNC setup or operation experience on lathes or mills (3+ years).
• Ability to read blueprints including GD&T features like true position and profile.
• Ability to manipulate G-Code, change work offsets, and adjust tool offsets.
• Ability to change, touch-off, and indicate tools for CNC lathes or mills.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk most of the day.
• Comfort working in a shop with metalworking equipment and solvents.

• Follow department procedures when setting up and operating machines, and inspecting parts.
• Hit pre-determined efficiency goals during setup or operation.
