Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist – Set‑Up to support the machining of complex, close‑tolerance components in a regulated environment. The role requires setting up and operating CNC lathes and mills, verifying first articles, and running production with strict quality and safety standards.

The position offers a shift with pay differentials in South Cleveland, including a base rate of $30-$33/hr and a salary range of $32-$36/hr, with comprehensive benefits and a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• 4–7 years CNC machining in a regulated manufacturing environment
• Aerospace experience strongly preferred
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints

Responsibilities

• Set up tooling, fixtures, and workholding using engineering drawings and setup documentation
• Establish machine zero points and complete first‑part inspections to blueprint specifications
• Verify dimensions and quality using appropriate inspection tools
• Run production parts following successful setup and approval
• Optimize cycle times and production methods while maintaining quality requirements
• Perform in‑process inspections and part benching during machine operation
• Accurately complete SPC records, inspection documentation, and certified operator paperwork
• Record work transactions correctly within the ERP system
• Collaborate with Engineering and Quality teams to ensure product conformance
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements
