Job summary

MercyOne Clinton Medical Center in Clinton, IA is seeking a Part-time Unit Secretary/CNA to support patient care and administrative tasks. Under RN supervision, you will transcribe orders, perform order entry, schedule tests, assemble admission and discharge charts, and maintain patient records.

Qualifications

• Certified Nurse Aide certification from the State of Iowa.
• BLS certification within 3 months of hire.
• Three years of related field experience preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a potentially stressful environment.

Responsibilities

• Transcribes selected physician orders and performs order entry.
• Schedules diagnostic tests and therapies for patients.
• Assembles admission and discharge charts and maintains patient records.
• Completes documentation for billing and related tasks.
• Answers telephone calls and relays messages to appropriate staff.
