Job summary

Good Samaritan in Canistota, SD seeks a Nursing Assistant to provide resident-centered care in a long-term care setting. Under the supervision of an RN, you will assist with daily living activities, vital signs, and documentation, while supporting infection prevention and safe transfer techniques.

You will join a team offering night shift options, a generous benefits package, and opportunities for advancement; full-time status with 40 weekly hours.

Qualifications

• CNA certification required by State Board of Nursing or in process of obtaining certification.
• Minimum age 16; prior clinical/nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
• High school graduate or GED preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under RN supervision.
• Assist with bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, and vital signs.
• Record resident information and communicate changes to charge nurse.
• Assist with transfers, mobility, range of motion, and meals; support psychosocial needs.
