Job summary

Good Samaritan Canistota is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide resident-centered care in a long-term care setting. You will assist with daily living activities, monitor vitals, and support the nursing team under supervision. This role includes evening shifts and responsibilities for proper documentation and infection control.

The position requires a CNA certification and compliance with annual competency testing. A sign-on bonus is offered and benefits apply based on status.

Qualifications

• Must have CNA certification with State Board or in process within four months
• Prior long-term care experience preferred
• Minimum age of 16; completion of yearly competency testing and continuing education credits required

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under RN supervision
• Take and record vital signs; assist with transfers, ROM and mobility
• Assist with meals, hydration, and psychosocial support; observe and report changes to RN
• Document resident interactions and care outcomes; maintain infection prevention practices
