Job summary

Heritage Senior Living is seeking a compassionate CNA/Resident Assistant Supervisor to lead and support a dedicated care team while providing hands-on resident care. This hands-on leadership role focuses on mentoring staff, maintaining ISP-guided care, and ensuring high-quality daily care for residents in a compassionate environment.

The role emphasizes teamwork, training, and maintaining safety, dignity, and individualized care, with opportunities to grow into leadership while staying involved

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CNA certification preferred but not required.
• Previous caregiving, resident assistant, CNA, senior living, memory care or related experience preferred.
• Previous lead, mentor, or supervisory experience preferred.
• Completion and maintenance of required CBRF certifications.
• Caring and compassionate approach with a genuine concern for older adults.
• Strong communication, customer-service, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to provide direction, coaching, and support to care team members.
• Ability to multitask and adjust priorities based on resident needs.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Competency in the safe use of floor lifts and assistive devices.
• Ability to meet applicable pre-employment, training, certification, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day leadership to CNA/Resident Assistants while ensuring high-quality, ISP-guided care.
• Train, coach, and mentor new and existing CNA/Resident Assistants.
• Reinforce expectations for resident care, documentation, and professionalism.
• Monitor employee performance and provide feedback and coaching as needed.
• Participate in corrective and disciplinary processes with leadership.
• Review assignments and coordinate workflow based on resident needs.
• Monitor care documentation, MARs, and records for accuracy.
• Support daily care focus meetings and required training.
• Read ISPs and ensure care aligns with established plans.
• Assist with activities of daily living and mobility as needed.
• Complete rounds and wellness checks; respond to calls and alarms.
• Escort residents to appointments and activities; maintain dignity and privacy.
• Support medication administration when trained and delegated.
