Job summary

The Nursing Assistant (NA) at Good Samaritan Hutchinson Village provides resident-centered care in a 65-bed skilled nursing setting. Working night shifts on a part-time schedule, you will assist with daily living activities, monitor health needs, and help maintain a safe, compassionate environment under the supervision of an RN.

You will document vital signs, support mobility, and participate in infection prevention and care plan compliance.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum age of 16. Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
• CNA certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through Endorsement.
• A minimum of 12 hours continuing education required annually; maintains required certifications.
• For applicable states, certified and registered with the Unlicensed Assistive Person (UAP) Registry.
• Possible Sanford Category II Driver requirement with valid license and driving policy compliance.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care per care plan.

• Communicate changes in condition to the charge nurse.
• Follow infection prevention and PPE policies.
