Job summary

Good Samaritan Grand Island Village in Grand Island, Nebraska is seeking a dedicated Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide resident-centered care during the night shift. You will assist with daily living activities, monitor conditions, and support the nursing team under RN supervision.

Responsibilities include documenting care, maintaining infection prevention practices, helping with meals and mobility, and participating in wellness efforts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum age of 16. Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
• CNA certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through Endorsement.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under RN supervision.
• Record vital signs and monitor health trends.
• Assist with transfers, repositioning, and walking using proper techniques.
• Follow infection prevention and PPE procedures.
• Aid with meals, hydration, and daily activities; document care performed.
