Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support RN staff with patient care and daily activities. The role involves helping with bathing, feeding, mobility, and monitoring patient status while ensuring safe handling and comfort in a fast-paced hospital setting.

You will document vitals, assist with admissions and transfers, collect specimens, and maintain EMR records. The position requires teamwork, reliability, and adherence to infection control practices.

Qualifikationen

• Basic computer skills.

• Excellent organizational skills and ability to set priorities.

Aufgaben

• Assist RN with daily patient care including bathing, feeding, ambulation and activities.
• Measure and document vital signs and input/output; record in EMR.
• Perform rounding and communicate patient/family needs to RN.
• Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges under supervision.
• Collect urine, stool, and sputum; perform point-of-care testing as instructed.
• Manage supplies, stock nursing areas, and assist with positioning and transfers.
• Maintain skin integrity and use devices as needed; support dietary needs.
