Job summary

Good Samaritan, a not-for-profit organization, is seeking a Nursing Assistant for Miller Prairie Center in Miller, SD. This full-time, night-shift role provides resident-centered care, daily living assistance, and support to the nursing team under an RN's supervision.

The NA will assist with bathing, grooming, meals, vital signs, and documentation while following infection prevention and PPE policies. CNA certification and a valid driver’s license may be required.

Qualifications

• CNA certification with State Board, or enrolled in training program for certification.
• Minimum age 16; prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
• Yearly competency testing and 12 hours of continuing education required.
• If applicable, registered with the UAP Registry.
• May require Sanford Category II driver status and valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and activities of daily living.
• Assist with bathing, toileting, grooming, and dining support.
• Assist with transfers, mobility, and range-of-motion exercises.
• Document resident interactions and communicate changes to the charge nurse.
