Job summary

Appling-Healthcare-System is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to assist in daily resident care under RN/LPN supervision. Tasks include ADL support, vital signs, and patient safety. Shift available 7p-7a, with emphasis on compassionate, patient-centered care and timely reporting of changes in condition.

Required GA CNA certification or eligibility, BLS within 90 days, and HS diploma or GED. Prior long-term care experience is preferred but not required; English proficiency is essential.

Qualifications

• Must have valid Georgia CNA certification or obtain within 4 months of graduation.
• Current BLS certification required or to be obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Ability to read and communicate in English, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Takes and records resident vital signs accurately.
• Measures and records temperature, pulse, respiration and BP.
• Assists with bathing, grooming, hygiene and mobility as needed.
• Explains procedures to residents before beginning.
• Maintains resident safety and cleanliness of units and equipment.
• Reports changes in resident condition to supervisor promptly.
