Job summary

DHR Health in Edinburg, TX is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant for the Night shift in Women’s Health. Under supervision of a licensed RN, you will assist with direct patient care, monitor vital signs, help with transports, and maintain a safe, clean environment on the unit.

The role requires graduation from an accredited CNA program, active Texas CNA license, and strong communication skills in English (bilingual abilities helpful).

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited Certified Nurse Assistant or PCT program required.
• Active Texas C.N.A or Patient Care Tech license required.
• Must be sensitive to cultural and bilingual issues.
• Good written and verbal communication skills required.
• Ability to read, write and speak English, required.

Responsibilities

• Promotes the facility mission, vision and values by effectively communicating them to others.
• Follow Standard Precautions and OSHA Guidelines in all duties.
• Prepare and maintain a record of observations and care given.
• Assist with admissions to the unit and orient family members to the unit.
• Maintain a safe, secure, comfortable environment for every patient.
• Participate in shift reports and plan work assignments to meet patient needs.
